About Me

Hello! My name’s Penny, this is my company and more importantly, my creative dream.

Let me tell you the story behind the name. When I was growing up my father used to call me Penny Lemonade, even now when I think about my childhood it still brings a big smile to my face. So I shortened it (a little) and here we are. 

My world consists of a husband to cuddle, a daughter to chase, a dog to tickle, and a list of things to do that never ends. My dream has always been to have a company where I can let my creativity run riot. I’ve always wanted to put all these ideas and colours running around my head somewhere and here we are. 

Beau, my daughter is my greatest inspiration. Constanly surprising me, not only with with her kindness and caring nature but her creative flare. When we are together she reminds me that in life you need to laugh more and have fun. 

I created Tallulah Beau orginally for Beau's birthday party theme, capturing her spirit, which later evolved into a small capsule collection and the birth of the Penny Lemon brand. Many of the characters within the ranges are inspired by my daughter's close friends and family members, these individuals make up a large proportion of Beau's and my own world.

My company’s entire identity is inspired by my family and our ethos to be happy. It’s not a coincidence I decided on the name we did and not just because it was a pet name. I believe if life gives you lemons you go and make lemonade. Or lemon jelly. Or a lemon cheesecake. Or cut them in half and take photos of each other’s faces as you suck on them. Make the best of everything and create whatever you want.

My aim is to create products that are fun and when you recieve one through your letterbox 'we make you smile'. I want you to trust us with your cards, invites, partyware and garland.
